    RUNNING HOME TO SPIRIT

Affiliated with the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, Carla Drumbeater is a storyteller, Army veteran, and healer. She shares her journey of running the NYC Marathon, discovering yoga, and reconnecting with her Anishinabe roots through writing, healing, and the Native Author Program.

  • RISE THROUGH RESILIENCE

Carla Drumbeater rekindled running at 50, merging her role as an ICU respiratory therapist with Indigenous healing. Yoga became her refuge during COVID, reconnecting her to Ojibwe roots. Training for the NYC Marathon, she embodies strength, story, and service.
